VEHICLE INSPECTIONS

Vehicle Inspections are performed by a trade qualified mechanic that is authorized through CVSE as an Authorized Inspector at our Designated Inspection Facility.

Our inspections follow the BC Vehicle Safety Standards, which is governed by the Motor Vehicle Act and enforced by Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement (CVSE). These requirements ensure vehicles meet specific criteria to be considered safe to operate on our roads. They are not determined by us, and are not negotiable. Read the BC Vehicle Safety Standards Manual by clicking here.

Inspection Outcomes:

Pass The vehicle meets all safety standards. An Inspection Report & Certificate of Approval (decal) is issued.

Fail The vehicle does not meet all safety standards. The inspector will identify specific "F" (Fail) items that must be corrected before a re-inspection.
